This year NSC graduated its largest class to-date with more than 300 students, representing each of the 24 degree programs offered by the college.
NSC Student Accepted to NASA Pre-Service Teacher Workshop in Texas
Melina Arriaza, a first-generation college student enrolled at Nevada State College was accepted to participate in a weeklong training at the highly prestigious NASA Johnson Space Center Pre-Service Teacher Institute in Houston, Texas.
Federal funding renewed for Nevada State College TRIO Upward Bound Program
After a funding gap that spanned four months, the Nevada State College chapter of TRIO Upward Bound was notified by Senator Harry Reid's office that federal funds would be renewed for use starting June 1, 2012. The two grants awarded by the U.S. Department of Education will help sustain the program at NSC through 2017.
